Family Organization
Japanese families in urban cities are nuclear families where the mother works at a Job but is also expected to come back home and do things the mother position is suppose to do, the father as well works. Then the kids go to school and come back home, do homework then they have some family time.
In 1870's the no-Confucian class system was "abolished", henceforth they have a new sort of social class those in the urban areas who work in important businesses are called "white collars" are part of the new middle class, while the "blue collared" workers are also in that middle class but looked down on by the white collars because they are shop keepers & artisans.
